A GROUNDED ANSWER FROM SARAH ELAINE

How do I package what I know into an offer?

An offer is not your entire body of knowledge. It is a clear container that helps a particular person move through a particular problem or possibility. Choose the smallest format that can deliver the promised support well: consultation, reading, service, guide, workbook, membership, or another defined experience.

THE NUANCE

Start with the outcome and the customer's situation, then choose the delivery method. Do not begin with a course, workbook, or membership simply because the format is popular.

Scope matters as much as content. Name what the person receives, what you need from them, how many revisions or touchpoints are included, and what costs extra.

A USEFUL NEXT STEP

  1. Draft a one-sentence offer: who it is for, what it helps with, and how it is delivered.
  2. Use Product & Offer Development if you need help shaping the container.
